About Me

Practicing therapy since 2002, I have been able to consistently use clinical experience to find flexible solutions even when others have burned out. With honest and direct feedback, I provide a safe and compassionate environment for clients to grow and make positive changes. I will be forthright about difficult decisions and work tirelessly to find the best, if not easiest, solutions. My consistent concern for the client, rich clinical background, high ethical standards, and willingness to tackle difficult tasks have allowed me to improve clients' emotional and behavioral stability.

I am a take-charge person who has the ability to assess a problem, generate practical and creative solutions, convey those ideas, and oversee the practical implementation. Being up-to-date on recent developments in the mental health field and having insight into psychiatric disorders, I can help clarify the relationship between psychotropic medications, symptoms, and behavior.

I have many years of experience with clinical assessment, program planning, family outreach, child and adolescent development, including the full range of emotional and behavioral disorders, and treatment modalities including groups, individual and family treatment, and crisis intervention.

Having worked for five years in Chicago schools, I was able to build positive therapeutic and academic relationships with students while honing strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to smoothly diffuse escalating situations. I am mindful of ecological perspective and understand how reactions and interactions relate. I think ahead of consequences and balance immediate results with longer-term ramifications.

With a strong moral fiber, resolute character, and overall dedication to the well-being of clients, I can provide sound and insightful clinical judgment and make a real difference in the lives of others.
